About Monica
A career shaped by curiosity, people and practical problem-solving.
My work has always started with a simple question: What do people need to succeed?
My story
I began my career in the travel industry in Colombia, working directly with customers in an environment where clear communication, sound judgment and the ability to solve problems mattered every day.
That experience eventually led me into training and instructional design. I discovered that I enjoyed more than delivering information. I wanted to understand why people struggled, what was getting in their way and how the right learning or support could make their work easier.
I spent 15 years at Axonify, where I progressed from instructional designer to leading multidisciplinary learning and creative teams. My work expanded from designing customer learning to building content strategies, developing scalable services, improving team capability and working across Customer Success, Product, Sales and Professional Services.
Each role gave me a different perspective, but the questions that guide me have remained consistent: What is the real problem? What do people need to do differently? What would help them do it successfully?
Today, I bring those experiences together to help organizations build capability, improve performance and create learning solutions that can grow with the business.
What I believe
Listen first. Solve the right problem.
Every performance challenge has a solution, but only if we are willing to listen, observe and understand what people truly need.
Learning should not be created simply because someone requested a course. It should have a clear purpose, respond to a genuine need and give people something they can use. The strongest solutions are practical for the learner, valuable to the organization and designed with the people closest to the work.

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling, discovering good food and spending time near the ocean. I’m happiest exploring somewhere new with my family or taking a walk with Coco, our very friendly cockapoo.
These moments help me stay curious, appreciate different perspectives and remember that some of the best ideas come when we give ourselves room to think.
